We are here at the onset of the mango season 2016!
We are heading into the season with little joy and little curiosity. Curious...as what this year is going to be like? Prices, quality, availability.....yes all these matter to all of us.
Alphonso mangoes are coming up towards the last week of the current month. We expect a good year ahead (at least better than the last year 2015) J
February heralded full bloom flowering of the mango trees. The whole industry was overwhelmed with the promising mango orchards and rejoicing to welcome a bumper crop year!
Lo & behold, the month of March showed no trace of water from the skies! It starts to get hotter like never before. Then comes April and still no signs of rain!
Expectations turn south from bumper to just average season! Nostalgic situation – reminding year 2015...God bless us! We are optimist and will come back with good pulp offers.
